The Telephone

Having moved to a new preschool, Avery doesn't get to see her old friends as often as she used to. And as an alternate solution to not seeing them as often, we've gotten in the habit of letting them calling each other, and if it weren't THE cutest thing to hear 3 year-old banter about every day things.

This was the case between Avery and Elijah early last week. We moms coordinated the call, put them on speaker and let them have at it. Lots of giggling, 'you're silly' comments and 'when are you coming to my house/swimming in my pool?' questions.
But the real kicker was when Avery hopped up onto the couch, leaned back on one end, put her feet up and commenced to talking as if we weren't even there. Jimmy and I both had flash-forward visions of Avery at age 15 talking to *gasp* BOYS!

She finally understands how to use it.

What you get when someone comes to see you at 4:50 a.m. Please observe the lips-to-headboard position. And yes, there were adults in the mix at one time too. NOT fun. I'm typically the unlucky one on the receiving end of those feet.
