Fun Fact #1:
Before acquiring Pepper, we informed Avery that if she got a dog, she'd have to help take care of her. You know, the usual: feeding, walking, brushing, loving and overall well-being.
Dog food (treats included), make Avery gag. So much so, she's gone running to the garbage for fear of tossing her cookies. The first time she opened the food bin, Jimmy and I couldn't help but laugh, mostly because it had gotten her out of one of her new chores. We have an overwhelming feeling there will be a similar reaction when it comes to her first poop-scoop assignment.
btw: Pepper is 90% housebroken. And we feel comfortable letting her roam the house during the day when we're gone. The doggy door is the greatest and she's even gone to use it at night.
Fun Fact #2:
Avery has moved up again in her swim class. She's no longer a Level 4 Seahorse, but a Level 5 Starfish. She can swim half the length of the pool, jump from the side of the pool, swim a few strokes, then turn over and float on her back. She can also dive down to retrieve hoops at the bottom of the pool. She's such a strong swimmer and we're so very proud of her.

Fun Fact #3: We just signed Avery up for Soccer! Practices and games begin in March!
Fun Fact #4: We are registering Avery for Kindergarten Readiness Testing next week. Her birthday is after the August 31st cutoff for open enrollment so she must test in, but we definitely think she's ready. The actual test isn't until mid-May and school starts in mid-July! Can't believe we may soon have a kindergartner!!

I never had to feed grandma's dog for the same reason!
