We introduced the pacifier last night. Both our old and new pediatricians have stated that the use of a pacifier at night can reduce the risk of SIDS. So, Avery got the binky. We poked it at her mouth, she pursed her lips in denial. We get it in and she proceeds to spit it right out, as if to say, "what is this foreign, non-milk producing object in my mouth?". It meant a good 20 minutes of comic relief for Jimmy and I. When she finally did respond to it, it didn't last long. Needless to say, the binky did not get used last night, but we'll keep trying.
Avery had her most recent well-baby visit and she's growing like a sprout. Since birth, she's packed on 2 lbs and stretched 2 inches. However, she is incredibly gassy. Evidently, the higher barometric pressure makes the existing gas bubbles in her tummy that much bigger and more painful. We've taken to giving her gas drops, which create a party in her pants and an afterparty we'd rather not be invited to.

I don't think so

Interesting...

I'll nap anywhere
