My Typical Day

No two days are the same, but here's a run-down of my daily routine.

5:30 a.m. (approximately)

Hurle myself out of bed to start the day.

5:34 a.m.

Shower and get dressed in my work uniform (jeans, t-shirt and sneakers).

5:45 a.m.

Beautify as much as is humanly possible (and necessary) for the industry in which I work. Which mean barely any.

5:50 a.m.

Check on The Munch before heading downstairs.

5:51 a.m.

Make bottles for daycare and pack baby breakfast/lunch.

5:55 a.m.

Make my lunch for work. Pack in my Igloo lunch box (how industrial!)

6:00 a.m

Eat breakfast, pack my gym bag and catch up on tivo'd shows before Munch rouses.

6:15 - 6:30 a.m. (time varies)

Greet The Munch, change the diaper, get her dressed and wash that mug.

6:35 a.m.

Head downstairs for lots of mommy kisses and hugs with Dora the Explorer on in the background.

6:50 a.m.

Leave the house for daycare.

7:00 a.m.

Daycare drop off. Get Munch ready for breakfast at school (which really only means just putting her in a high chair, they do the rest).

7:09 a.m.

Drive to the job.

7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Pretend I'm working.

3:35 p.m.

Drive to the gym.

4:00 - 4:45 p.m.

Break a little sweat.

4:50 p.m.

Pick up The Munch.

5:00 p.m.

Arrive home and feed Munchie if she hadn't recently eaten at daycare AND more mommy & me time.

5:30 p.m.

Start making dinner and lots of play time.

6:00 p.m.

Husband-unit arrives home from gym. Give the DPR (daily poop report), eat dinner and kick his ass in Jeopardy whilst Munch watches in amazement from her exersaucer.

6:30 p.m.

Feed Munch some dinner. We're up to an entire tub of veggies and a 4 oz bottle!

7:00 p.m.

Tivo any show I might normally watch if The Munch would cooperate.

7:15 p.m.

Start winding The Munch down for bed. Bath (if that day) and jammies time.

7:30 p.m.

Feed a bottle (usually 6 oz) and put to bed.

8:00 p.m.

Adult time...activities may vary. Usually means chatting, watching tv and showering off the gym-time funk.

9:00 p.m.

Mom & dad head to bed and watch Will & Grace on Lifetime.

9:30-10:00 p.m.

La-la land.

And then I do it all over again the next day.

Dining out

Fun with napkins

My kid is going to be a cheerleader...oh the horror!

Trying to push mom out of the picture.

Dad thinks he SOOOoo funny.

Starting to look like such a big girl.

Perfecting her raspberry.

And incorporating a puff

So happy

Our days sound quite a bit similar, including kicking my husband's butt at Jeopardy! :) Though, we have something called the baby bonus, and if you are in charge of the baby while watching Jeopardy, then you automatically get to add the baby bonus to your score since you have to be compensated for the fact that you might have to tend to a meltdown, change a diaper, or whatever and not be able to fully concentrate on the questions. There's no actual numeric value assigned to the baby bonus (I mean, hell, we don't even keep score for real or anything), but it helps you win almost every time. :) Thought you might appreciate that...I'll have to tell this story on my blog sometime. :)

Love seeing the little front teeth!!

How will I ever be a mom??? Can't help but realize how inefficient I am with my time, after reading through your typical daily routine... But then again, I guess that's what we newlyweds are supposed to do, in the precious few years before we staart having little ones. ;-)
