It's sad to say, but this weekend was the first time Avery had EVER been to the park. Maybe it's not sad, dunno, but this being her first trip seemed long overdue.
It's nice to live in an area where trips to the park are not impeded by weather. Wait, strike that, trips to the park will long be over come May or June when it's 1,000 degrees. But in February, it's perfect.
Avery really enjoyed the park. She said "hi!" to EVERYONE, picked up and inspected rocks and chased the brrrdeeeeees. And she LOVED the slide. The first pass was a little sketchy, in that she didn't know she could, or rather, had to, sit up the ride down. But once she figured that out, it was weeeeee all the way down (all 5 feeet). AGAIN was her first response at the bottom.
Oooh, and we have a great picture of how much Avery enjoyed the swing! Good times...good times.
