I have a lot to blog about today, so here we go...
Jimmy was on a business trip to Japan last week. It was a long, lonely week for Avery and I, but we're VERY glad daddy's home. Jimmy had taken our digital camera with him and was going to blog about his first time travelling internationally, to include pictures. He said he had some great stories and pictures he couldn't wait to share. Well, that was the plan until he left the camera on the inbound flight from Tokyo to San Francisco.
I can tell ya, I was a little annoyed, especially since it had pictures and video of Avery on it, AND her birthday party was the next day. Fortunately, all the pictures on there had been downloaded, however, it meant buying another, our 3rd in two years. Someone has an uncanny knack for forgetting them somewhere, but I'm not naming any names.

This weekend, we celebrated Avery's 2nd birthday, complete with a bounce house, too much cake and all of her friends. Avery had a GREAT time and received wonderful gifts, which she thoroughly enjoyed opening. After getting the last one open, she said to me, "I want to open another one." Christmas is going to be a lot more fun this year!

Avery had her 2-year, well-baby visit this morning. The doctor was very impressed with how much she's grown and how well she communicates. I hate to brag, but the doctor said she was at a 3-year old level for her letter recognition, being able to recite the entire alphabet (which she was more than happy to sing for her) and her counting. Now, if we could only get her off the binky. She doesn't know it, but we're having an intervention and going cold turkey tomorrow.
Weight: 30.2 lbs (75-90th %)
Height: 36" (same) Jimmy put her digits in a predictor. Apparently, she's going to be around 5'11", which seems about right to me.

And lastly, if you're at all interested click HERE for before and after pictures of the house. Unfortunately, it does not include the master bedroom or bath, or updated pictures of the front, but you'll get the gist of things. There's still so much we want to do; things like a granite kitchen & new cabinets or you know, upgrading existing furniture or hell, actually furnishing our front room, etc. I guess that's the beauty of home ownership...the projects never end and you've got all the time you want.
