Easter

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!! We certainly did!

It's been a beautiful spring here in the desert, so every opportunity has been taken to be outside before it's too warm. This weekend was no exception!

We had a very busy and yet relaxed Easter weekend. Saturday afternoon/night, Jimmy volunteered to watch the kiddos so my mommy friends and I could have a mommy's day/night out. This included an afternoon of massages and pedicures, and a laughter-filled evening of cocktails and great food!

Jimmy, Avery and her best buds played outside, colored Easter eggs, decorated cookies, colored Easter pictures, watched a movie before the sleepover began. Jimmy is SO great with them and I couldn't have asked for a better husband and father. Much appreciated babe!

We hadn't seen Hannah in a while, so it was great having her over for the day!

Easter Sunday was much more relaxing and much of the day was dedicated to Avery.

Here she is with some of her Easter basket goodies. She couldn't wait to crack open her Hello Kitty pedicure set.

Super excited about her Hello Kitty sunglasses!
Supa-star!
Easter egg hunt in the backyard.
Her big Easter gift. Yep, that's a Hello Kitty bicycle!
We were BEYOND excited to give this too her and couldn't wait for her reaction.

"Oh. My. Gosh. Is that bike for me?!"

Ready to roll

Avery hesitated very little to get on the bike, but once it actually started moving, we had a pretty major freakout. She kept thinking it was going to tip over, despite our attempts to calm her and explain that she wasn't going to fall. At that point, she pretty much wanted nothing to do with it. So, much ot our disappointment, we dismounted and mommy painted her toes.

We talked her into another try...

...and spent the better part of the day cruising the neighborhood.
She quickly got the hang of it and LOVES her big-girl bike.
